Moving Forward Together isn’t just part of our company name; it is the best descriptor of how we have built our company. We believe in using our expertise and experience to better the lives of older adults, and to offer guidance and support to those who want to do the same through family-like personal care homes.
Our Story
For sisters Eshonda Blue and Jessica Wright, the journey into senior care started with a deeply personal experience that became their life’s calling.
The time they spent caring for their aging grandmother led them to found Moving Forward Together® in 2007, as the first licensed home care provider in Sumter County, Georgia, and a licensed Medicaid provider in 2008.
Both founders are lifelong Georgia residents and registered nurses whose personal and professional experience makes them an asset to the community. In 2016, Moving Forward Together® was selected to participate in the Georgia Mentor Protégé Program, and receive additional business and leadership coaching from a Fortune 500 company. Today, Moving Forward Together® has evolved from a home care agency to a focus on innovative approaches to care such as adult day care, personal care homes and industry consultants.
Our Team
At Moving Forward Together®, we believe that caring for seniors is our purpose in life, and it is the calling of each and every nurse and team member that works with us. Our care team is led by nurse professionals who have both personal and professional experience caring for older and disabled adults. We are dedicated to creating a caring, compassionate, and comforting environment for each client we serve, and that begins with the staff we hire.
We understand how important trust and honesty are when you are seeking a care solution for a senior loved one, and we take that trust very seriously. Every nurse and staff person that we employ must pass a thorough background check, drug test, and in-depth interview process before becoming a part of our team. We also ensure that all our staff are well trained and supervised so they are confident in their work and you can be confident in the care they provide.
Awards
As a team, we have been honored to receive a number of awards for our work in the community. In February 2012, Moving Forward Together® was awarded Small Business of the Year by the Americus-Sumter Chamber of Commerce for exceptional customer satisfaction, superior customer awareness, ethical business practices, business growth, and excellent relationships with other local businesses.
We also received a Georgia Rock Star Honorable Mention in 2015 by the Georgia Department of Economic Development, and countless other recognitions from our community leaders.
In May 2022, Moving Forward Together® was named a Women in Business Champion by the Small Business Administration (SBA) of Georgia and also received the Better Business Bureau’s Integrity in the Community Award.

The Ora Mae Fields Scholarship
Named after the founders’ grandmother and first client of Innovative Senior Solutions, this scholarship is given to one deserving high school student planning to further his or her education in a health care profession.
Annual Senior Fall Festival
Since 2010, the fall festival provides seniors and family caregivers with an opportunity to learn about and interact with numerous community-based services and organizations designed to help seniors and disabled persons continue to live at home. Entertainment, food and games make this free event fun for all!
